  • How does scheduling work?
    We service different areas throughout the week to maximize efficiency and keep our prices affordable. While we make every effort to meet specific scheduling preferences, please understand that we may not always be able to accommodate them.
  • Can you clean up other poop besides dog poop?
    Yes! We can clean up many other types of poop including Geese Poop, Racoon Poop, and Opossum Poop. We can only clean up poop that is outside the home on the ground. We do not clean up poop from crawl spaces, roofs, or other tight spaces. And of course, we are unable to help with human poop!
  • Can you clean while my dogs are in the yard?
    We love to meet and work with dogs if they are friendly and allow us to do our job safely. If your dogs are aggressive or make it difficult for us to do our job, then you will need to bring them inside while we are cleaning your yard. We will ring the doorbell to have aggressive dogs brought in if they are outside. If you are not home and your aggressive dogs are outside, we will be unable to service your yard until the next scheduled visit.
  • How will I know when you will arrive?
    We send a text message letting you know we are on our way before each service visit. If you prefer not to receive text messages, just let us know!
  • Do you remove dog waste all year long?
    Of course! We scoop all year long, no matter if it’s bitter cold or sweltering hot!
  • What services do you offer?
    Our most popular service is our weekly pooper scooper service. We also offer twice weekly, every other week, and one time pooper scooper service.
  • Do you clean commercial properties?
    We do not currently offer service for commercial properties. However, we are considering offering commercial service in the future, so check back often!
  • What are my responsibilities?
    We recommend keeping your lawn cut on a regular basis and removing leaves and debris. We can only pick up what we can see. Gates need to either be unlocked or a key/combination needs to be supplied. Aggressive dogs need to be left inside while we are cleaning your yard. We will ring your bell and ask you to bring the dogs inside. If you are not home and your aggressive dogs are out, we will be unable to service your yard until the following week, and a refund will not be provided for the missed service visit.
  • Is your company insured?
    Yes! We are insured by Pet Care Insurance which is underwritten by Lloyd's, London.
  • Do I need to sign a contract?
    No! We will never lock you into a contract of any kind.
  • What fees do you charge?
    None! In fact, we are the only pet waste removal business in the Chicagoland area to charge no additional fees!
  • How does billing work?
    Weekly, Twice Weekly, or Every Other Week Service: NEW We bill automatically on the 1st of each month for the previous months service. We charge per service visit. For this reason, some months may have a higher bill than other months, depending on the number of service visits that month. A credit card on file is required for automatic payments. Example: You pay $13.85 per visit and we service your yard on 4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28. On 5/1, your card on file will be automatically charged $55.40. One Time Service: Once service is complete, we will email or text you an invoice detailing the charges due. The invoice can be paid online via credit/debit card, ACH transfer or in person at the time of service completion via cash, check, or credit/debit card.
  • Do you guarantee your work?
    Of course! We 100% guarantee that you will love our services. If not, we will offer you a refund and make things right!
  • Do I need to be home when you service my yard?
    No. We are usually able to perform a service visit without anybody being home. However, if you have aggressive dogs that are in the yard, somebody will need to let them in the house before we can perform a service visit.
  • How can I sign up for or cancel service?
    You can sign up for service online via our website sign up form found here. Alternatively, you can give us a call at (630) 277-9766 or email us at support@dooawaypoop.com. To pause or cancel service, you can login in to your account via our customer portal found here, or contact us using the phone number or email mentioned above.
  • What happens if there's bad weather?
    How we respond depends on the type of bad weather expected. We will communicate any weather delays or rescheduling with you. Here is how we deal with some common weather types: Rain: Service as normal Lightning: Delay until it passes. Reschedule if required Light Snow: Service as normal Heavy snow: Reschedule
  • How do you find all of the poop?
    We walk in a lawn mower style pattern with a slight overlap between each row, ensuring that we cover every inch of your yard. We also do our best to check in flower beds and mulched areas. If the grass is long or has debris such as leaves covering it, we may have trouble finding all the poop. Please do your best to keep your yard debris free so that we can scoop poop the right way!
  • How much does weekly service cost?
    Weekly service is a flat $13.85 per visit. We charge no additional taxes or fees!
  • How will I know it is you in my yard?
    We drive a labeled vehicle know as the Doo Mobile and wear visible uniforms when providing service. We will also leave a door hanger with tasty enclosed to let you know that your yard is clean!
